RE: Weekend Survival Kits Backpack Program

We are happy to announce that Many Hands will bring the Weekend Survival Kits Backpack Program to the Elementary schools at Williamston this year.

Weekend Survival Kits contain a little over two days worth of food, and they are sent home with the students every Friday of the month.  Typical food items include granola bars, canned vegetables, peanut butter, crackers, oatmeal, soup, and SpaghettiOs.

A backpack will be provided (swag bag with draw strings) to your child at the beginning of the year.  He or she returns it after each distribution on the following Monday in order to receive the next kit.

Children are eligible for the Weekend Survival Kit program if they currently qualify for free or reduced priced lunch and may benefit from this program.  Please know that there is no cost to you to participate in this program.  If you would like child to participate, please sign this form and return it to the school office.  If you have any questions or suggestions regarding the Weekend Survival Kits, please contact Many Hands at [email protected]

Thank you,
